Franke Ultracarb three stage ceramic water filter by Doulton. The first stage consists of a sterasyl ceramic which provides genuine sub micron filtration. The cartridge reduces fine particulate matter and turbidity. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure gives enhanced bacteriostatic and self sterilizing properties. Second stage: An inner core of activated carbon block removes chlorine and organic compounds. Third Stage: Ion exchange resin for lead and heavy metal reduction. This combination of media in the cartridge provides high quality drinking water. Depth filtration of particulates >0.9 µm (dirt, turbidity etc). The Ceramic UltraCarb cartridge can be cleaned and reused many times.
